A couple of weeks ago, the six members of the British Trans-Americas Expedition set forth on their epic 20,000 mile journey from south to north along the pan-American highway by motorbike. Apart from the small matter of the distance, they are hoping to raise £10,000 for veterans mental health charity Combat Stress.
The team are aiming to set a new world record for being the first motorcycle team to ride the entire length of the world’s longest road, from Cape Horn on the southern tip of Chile to Prudhoe Bay on the Northern coast of Alaska. Along the way they will face a multitude of challenges including fierce winds of patagonia, two continents worth of weather and the infamous Darien Gap.
We wish them well with their adventure.
